Creating Landscapes – Building Worlds In Unreal – Episode 2



Landscapes are the foundation of your world in Unreal Engine. In this episode, we go over how to create a landscape. We go over all of the settings for tuning the landscape performance, vertex density, and distance detail reduction. Then we go over the tools that Unreal provides for sculpting the landscape – including Sculpt, Flatten, Noise, Smooth, and more. Finally, we sculpt a small stream bed to begin the process of creating our forest scene that we went over last episode.
