[tutorial]Particle system in UPBGE

In this video I show my newest particle system made in UPBGE/Blender Game Engine, now lighter and easier to use.

With this system it is possible to make a wide variety of particles, from realistic to low poly, being able to make fire, snow, rain and other effects.

Watch the video to know how to configure the particle and emitter correctly, different textures can be used to get different types of particles.

Particle system settings:

« active » – particles will only be emitted if true.

« distance to disable » – maximum distance between the emitting object and the active camera for the particles to be emitted.

« particle object » – name of the object that will be used as a particle (the object must be on an inactive layer)

« number of particles »- number of particles emitted per second

« particle time »= particle duration time in frames (at 60 fps, 60 corresponds to 1 second)

« particle movement » – movement that will be applied to the particle in the xyz axes

« position randomness » – randomness in the position of the particle addition on the xyz axes based on the position of the emitting object.

« initial color » – initial particle color based on particle lifetime

« final color » – final particle color based on particle lifetime

« initial scale » – initial particle scale based on particle lifetime

« final scale » = final particle scale based on particle lifetime

« point at camera » – if true all particles emitted by the object will point to the active camera
