So, I recently discovered I’ve been making a mistake with normals for 5 years… 😅

Normal maps can sometimes look off in path-traced engines like Cycles because ray tracing handles light and shadows based on the actual geometry. This means it picks up on shading flaws that engines like EEVEE often hide. It’s especially noticeable with low-poly models, where the normal maps can’t fully compensate for the lack of detail.
