Here’s how to choose a Unity Version.
The way Unity organizes their versions is actually quite simple nowadays but can also be confusing to a beginner.
When you open Unity Hub you will see all the available versions you can download.
They are split into 3 categories, Preview (Alpha/Beta), Supported and LTS (Long Term Support)
If you want to beta test Unity, go with Preview
If you’re about to release your game, go with LTS
If you want the latest stable version, go with either Supported or LTS, whichever is newer.
At the time of this recording:
Preview: 6.2
Supported: 6.1
LTS: 6.0
So right now you should likely be using 6.1, or 6.0 if you’re weeks away from release.
