Vaulting in Unreal Engine 5 | Parkour Tutorial




In this UE5 tutorial, I’ll show you how to set up a flexible vaulting system that you can easily expand into a full parkour setup! I’ll go step-by-step through the basics, from handling animations to detecting obstacles. Here’s what we’ll cover:

▪️ Editing animations – Set up vaulting animations.

▪️ Detecting obstacles – Learn how to detect objects around your character and identify when to vault over them.

▪️ Detect obstacle size – Make your vault system detect different obstacle sizes.

▪️ Scaling it up for parkour – This is the foundation for adding more moves like wall climbing, ledge grabbing, and more, so you can build out a full parkour system if you want!
