Getting a « Memory Allocation Error » crash at startup?
Check if there are any large files (2GB) on your main system drive (usually C:). Try moving or deleting them.

Backstory:
After playing the game a bunch of times without any issues, it suddenly crashed with the error message “Memory Allocation for 4294967232 Bytes failed.” I was confused, so I Googled it and tried every fix I could find, even though it didn’t make sense since the game was running fine before.
Nothing worked, obviously. I was like, “WTF? How can a game just crash out of nowhere, even after I deleted all saves, config files, and reinstalled it, without touching the OS at all?”
Turns out, I did change something. I downloaded Stalker Anomaly and moved it to my Windows drive (where SGW3 is installed). Yeah, a random 9GB zip file sitting under C: was causing the game to crash!
I tried other file sizes and formats. The file type doesn’t seem to matter, but anything over 2GB (except the page file) messes things up, at least on my system with 16GB RAM.
Apparently, the CryEngine used in this game reads and checks files on your root system drive for some reason, and if it finds a big file, it crashes with that memory allocation error.
