Ep. 01 | Movement and Sprite Flipping (New Input System) | Let’s Make A Metroidvania In Unity!




In this video we’ll get set up movement using Unity 6’s new input system. We’ll get our player moving left to right, and add sprite flipping so he’s facing the right direction while he’s doing it!

In the next video, we’ll add a highly customizable jump state to our player!

In this series, we’re going to create a beginner-friendly, Metroidvania. We’ll start simple, but add complexity as we go, refactoring our code to keep it modular and readable!
