CRYENGINE – Detail Mapping



In this short tutorial we go over the basic assembly of a unified detail map to add that extra macro detail to your scene materials. I use Knald to extract the normal map and composite the images together in Photoshop. Ultimately bringing them into Cryengine and applying them to the stone wall we made in the texture creation tutorial.
